Hello There!
I’m Chelsea, an FSL learning coach, and I create quality French resources for teachers who want to motivate and engage their students in the French classroom!
I absolutely love teaching French as a second language and am always looking for fun, new and innovative ways to reach all the learners in my classroom.
As a Grade 1 and 2 French Immersion Teacher in Québec, Canada with over 10 years of teaching experience, my goal is to help students find success while developing a positive attitude towards the French language. And I love sharing my knowledge with teachers like you!
When I am not teaching, you will often find me relaxing at my cottage, sitting in my pink office working on new products, or eating lots of candy while watching a Disney movie!

My why story
Teaching can be a little overwhelming at times. But add on trying to find quality resources to use in your French classroom, and that can feel pretty well impossible. When I first began my teaching journey, I could not believe how little there was available to French teachers. Most of the material was outdated and less than engaging to say the least. It was no wonder my students told me they were bored and didn’t like French class. It didn’t take me long to realize that I could share my knowledge and passion for teaching French and create the resources I, and so many other teachers, so desperately needed.
And this is why I started Chelsea’s Colourful Classroom! To help French teachers just like you create fun and engaging learning environments to help their students find success while developing a positive attitude towards the French language!
A few things about me...
I am a huge fan of Whole Brain Teaching and the Universal Design for Learning and am known as the teacher with a bright flexible seating classroom.
I am a Seesaw Ambassador, Apple Teacher and I have my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Concordia University, Montreal.
