Bingo de la Saint-Patrick

Students can build their own Bingo card. Laminate and cut a copy of the pictos for yourself to pick from OR display them for the class and call out images at random.

I recommend practicing the bingo words beforehand. Our favourite way to do that as a class is a call and response method. Teacher says the word while pointing at the image, students repeat.

Mots cachés

Students find various St. Patrick’s Day words to discover the mystery letter! I love this activity for practicing vocab and letter recognition.

Coloriage magique et mots cachés

Number recognition and fine motor skills are essential skills for elementary students. This colour-by-number practices number recognition while working on fine motor skills to reveal a St. Patrick’s Day image.

Trouve les différences

My students love this activity! It is fun and relaxing and gets your students to practice being good observers. Simply find the 8 differences and circle them!

Each student gets a recording sheet. Print, laminate and cut the pictos and hang them around the classroom. Students look for the pictos and record the word on their sheet. There are 2 bonus words that you can choose from.

French Halloween Activities

Halloween is one of my favourite holidays to celebrate at school! From costumes to candy and decorations to crafts! There are so many fun things to do together! But how do you get your students to develop and use the French Halloween vocabulary in a fun and engaging way? This French Halloween Activities mini-bundle is the perfect solution!

These activities help expose your students to the FRENCH Halloween themed vocabulary in a way that keeps them engaged and motivated!

Bingo d’Halloween

Have your students build their own Halloween bingo sheets. You can print them in colour or in black and white. I enjoy having my students colour their own bingo sheets, but it’s totally up to you! Be sure to print out a set of the words for yourself or display them on your Smart Board.

Before you start playing, be sure to practice all the Halloween vocabulary words (my go-to is a call and response format). Once you have practiced, you can begin playing! My favourite way to play is to call out a word, then show (or point to) the image. If students have the image, they must also say the word when placing their token. My kiddos love this!

Halloween Bingo

Mots cachés

This word search uses the French Halloween themed vocabulary words. Have students work in pairs or individually to find all the words and identify the “phrase mystère”.

Mots cachés Halloween

Trouve les différences

This activity involves students finding the 8 differences between the 2 images and then describing these differences to a partner or the teacher. This gets students using both French Halloween and spatial location vocabulary in a fun and relaxed environment. You can even have your students record themselves on Seesaw or Draw and Tell!

J’écris la salle de classe

My students love playing “J’écris la salle de classe” (aka Write the Room)! I print and laminate the vocabulary words and hide them around the room. Students take their recording sheet and try to locate all 12 words plus the BONUS word (I included 2 options for the bonus word). This gets your kiddos moving and having a lot of fun finding all the words!

J'écris la salle de class Halloween

Coloriage magique

This activity practices basic addition facts in a colour-by-number format activity. Who doesn’t love a good colour-by-number AND they are still practicing an important concept. Perfect!

And there you have it! 5 fun and engaging French Halloween themed activities for your classroom! This mini-bundle is available in my TPT store if you are interested! Be sure to tag me on instagram (@colourfulclassroom) with your students in action! I would love to get connected!
